Barry Fishman, professor at University of Michigan’s Schools of Information and Education, has penned a new introduction to the 50th anniversary edition of Wad-Ja-Get? The Grading Game in American Education, the revolutionary classic on grading authored by Howard Kirschenbaum, Sidney Simon, and Rodney Napier in 1971. Join Arthur Chiaravalli as he interviews Dr. Fishman on the book’s continued relevance, including how grading systems can be examined in terms of how they might promote or hinder equity or anti-racist practices.
The interview will be live-streamed on the Teachers Going Gradeless Facebook page and on YouTube.
